Richard Cartledge, MD, FACS

Dr. Cartledge is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
He is a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon, a specialist in heart valve
surgery and a regional pioneer of minimally invasive heart valve surgery.
Dr. Cartledge performs on and off-pump CABG, complex mitral valve repair,
thoracic aortic surgery, minimally invasive lung surgery, and many other
procedures. He previously served as Vice Chief of Surgery at Delray Medical Center.
Dr. Cartledge has 15 years experience in the medical device arena. He
is a founder of Smisson-Cartledge Biomedical and inventor of Thermacor
1200, an FDA-approved rapid infusion device. The Thermacor 1200 was awarded
four Department of Defense appropriations during the course of development.
Dr. Cartledge is also a founder of Mitral Solutions, which developed the
first adjustable mitral valve annuloplasty ring. He has more than 80 issued
and pending patents.
Dr. Cartledge is fellowship trained in cardiovascular surgery from New
York Hospital/Weill Cornel Medical Center and in thoracic surgical oncology
from Memorial Sloan Kettering. He received his medical degree from the
Medical College of Pennsylvania and performed his residency at Mercer
University School of Medicine, The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering at
Lehigh University.
He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical society and is board–certified
in general surgery and thoracic surgery.

W. Anthony Lee, M.D, FACS, obtained his medical degree from Johns Hopkins
University School of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Lee completed
his residency in the Department of Surgery at University of Michigan School
of Medicine. He also participated in the fellowship program at the Stanford
University School of Medicine in the Division of Vascular Surgery as a
vascular and endovascular fellow.
Dr. Lee went on to work at the University of Florida’s College of
Medicine as an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular
Surgery and Endovascular Therapy. He also served as Chief of the Section
on Endovascular Therapy for the University of Florida’s College
of Medicine. Dr. Lee is a part of many professional societies and has
been involved in medical research.

Alexander Kulik, MD, MPH, FRCSC, FACC, FAHA obtained his medical degree
from the University of Toronto Medical School where he was awarded the
Cody Silver Medal. After medical school, Dr. Kulik completed his cardiac
surgery residency training at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute
and obtained his fellowship board certification from the Royal College
of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He then participated in an advanced aortic
surgery fellowship at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.
Thereafter, Dr. Kulik developed expertise in endovascular surgery during
fellowship training at the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix.
During his surgical training, Dr. Kulik obtained a Masters in Public Health
from Harvard University. Dr. Kulik is actively involved in cardiac surgery
research and has been a principal investigator in a number of clinical
trials. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and a number
of chapters in surgical textbooks. Dr. Kulik has received a number of
awards for his contributions to the field of cardiac surgery research,
including the prestigious Young Investigator Award from the Canadian Cardiovascular
Society. Dr. Kulik is frequently involved in medical student education
and has been appointed Professor of Surgery at the Charles E. Schmidt
College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. Recognizing his achievements,
Dr. Kulik was elected as a fellow of the prestigious American College
of Cardiology (FACC) and the American Heart Association (FAHA). He is
an elected member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and
is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

John C. Motta, MD obtained his medical degree from the University of South
Florida’s College of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Motta completed
his internship and residency in general surgery at Emory University affiliated
hospitals. He then attended Baylor University Medical Center where he
completed his fellowship in vascular surgery. Dr. Motta is certified by
the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery.
Dr. Motta has published articles in The American Surgeon and in The Journal
of Vascular Surgery. He participated in medical research sponsored by
the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Alpha Omega Medical
Honor Society.
Gilbert Chidiac, MD

Gilbert Chidiac, MD obtained his medical degree from Saint Joseph University
School of Medicine in Lebanon. He then completed his training in Anesthesiology
at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida before he joined the University
of Toronto teaching hospital where he finished his fellowship in Cardiac
Anesthesia and Intensive Care.
Dr. Chidiac went on to work at the University of Miami where he occupied
the position of Assistant Professor. During that period, he also served
as Interim Chief of the Anesthesia Department at the Miami Veterans Affairs
hospital. Dr. Chidiac is published in several anesthesia journals; he
is member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Florida Society
of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Chidiac is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
and the National Board of Echocardiography.

Burak Ilsin, MD completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at the
King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California after obtaining his
medical degree from Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey. Following residency,
Dr. Ilsin finished a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at Texas Heart Institute
in Houston, Texas: a World recognized center for heart surgery.
Dr. Ilsin is member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the
Florida Society of Anesthesiologists. He is Board Certified by the American
Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Echocardiography.
Eileen de Grandis, M.D., RPVI, FACS

Eileen de Grandis, M.D., RPVI, FACS, obtained her medical degree from the
Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. After medical school,
she completed her general surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic and vascular
surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. de Grandis went on to work at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Bayfront
Health Punta Gorda. During her time there as a lead vascular surgeon,
she served as co-chair of the Radiation Safety Committee and provided
training, education and enacted safety measures for the staff. Dr. de
Grandis’ research has been published in peer-reviewed publications,
including the Journal of Vascular Surgery and Perspectives in Vascular
Surgery and Endovascular Therapy.
Dr. de Grandis is certified in vascular surgery by the American Board
of Surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a
member of the Society of Vascular Surgery. She performs a full range of
vascular surgery, including aortic reconstruction, dialysis access, carotid,
arterial and venous surgery.
