Christine E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute
Led by Richard Cartledge, MD, Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery, the Christine
E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute opened at Boca Raton Regional Hospital
in 2006, making it the first open-heart program started in Palm Beach
County in over 22 years. The Institute has performed over 2,500 open-heart
procedures, more than 20,000 cardiac catheterizations and nearly 5,000
angioplasties.

The Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute was named one of the Top Hospitals
with Great Cardiovascular Programs in 2010 and 2011 by Becker’s
Hospital Review along with some of the most well-regarded hospitals and

Cleveland Clinic, Duke University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian
Hospital. The Institute is also recognized as one of Florida’s leaders
in the surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms and aortic

named the Institute as one of America’s Best 100 Hospitals for Cardiac

In 2017, the Institute received the American Heart Association/American
Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Gold Plus Target
Stroke Honor Roll Elite and is one of only four hospitals in Palm Beach
County to be designated by the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration
(AHCA) as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
