Clinical Research
Advancing the boundaries of medicine
Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s consistent approach to medicine focusing
in the health and welfare of patients is tightly linked to its commitment
to research and to advancing the boundaries of medicine. The hospital
engages in research activities in ongoing collaboration with physician
investigators and study participants because clinical trials set the standard
for patient care.
Commonly, clinical trials are developed to test the safety and effectiveness
of drugs and medical procedures in a human population. There are potential
benefits for clinical trial participants. For instance, participants with
existing diseases or conditions can gain access to new research treatments
before they are available as standard of care, play a more active role
in their own healthcare, and help others by contributing to medical research.
As a patient at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, you may be asked to participate
