BOCA RATON, FL – May 12, 2020 –Sun Capital Partners Foundation,
Inc., together with its founders Rodger R. Krouse and Marc J. Leder and
their families, has made a $1 million donation to Boca Raton Regional
Hospital Foundation’s Keeping the Promise Campaign to support the
current and future needs of the hospital so it can continue to deliver
quality healthcare to the community.
“This generous gift from the Sun Capital Partners Foundation, Rodger
and Hillary Krouse, and Marc and Lisa Leder will enable our hospital to
better serve the evolving healthcare needs of our community for years
to come,” said Lincoln Mendez, Chief Executive Officer of Boca Raton
Regional Hospital. “We are deeply appreciative of their past support,
and this new commitment to our efforts to modernize and renovate our campus,
add key services and new technology capabilities, and continuously improve
the experience for patients and their families, physicians, staff, and
visitors.”
“Boca Raton Regional Hospital has been committed to providing quality
healthcare to the community for over 50 years, and we are honored to support
this important institution as it embarks on its most ambitious period
of growth and expansion,” said Leder. “As local residents
operating a global business headquartered here for the past 25 years,
we and the Sun Capital family truly appreciate the dedication and hard
work that front line healthcare professionals do every day to keep community
residents safe and healthy.”
Krouse and Leder, who have been long-time personal supporters of Boca Raton
Regional Hospital, started the Sun Capital Partners Foundation in the
belief that success brings with it a responsibility to make a difference
in local communities. By supporting outstanding local organizations, it
aims to fulfill its mission of promoting sustainable and positive change.
Sun Capital Partners Foundation has donated more than $14 million to more
than 700 local, national and international organizations.
Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation has launched the largest capital
campaign in its history, called “Keeping the Promise,” to
support projects meeting the future needs of the institution and the local
community. There are plans for a new patient tower that will feature an
expansion of surgical suites, an inviting patient lobby and all private
patient rooms. The plan also includes a medical pavilion for outpatient
services, additional parking, the complete renovation of the current hospital
building including all private rooms and other services. These investments
are the initial steps toward an even broader vision for the campus over
the next decade with greater access points and even more specialties.
