BOCA RATON, FL – December 18, 2017 – Boca Raton Regional Hospital will present Mindful Boca 2018: An Evening
with Glennon Doyle on Tuesday, January 16 at 6:30pm. The event is part
of the Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life Wellness Series at the Hospital’s
Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute.
Glennon Doyle, the #1
New York Times best-selling author of
Love Warrior – an Oprah’s Book Club pick, will join Peaceful Mind Peaceful
Life™ founders Barb Schmidt and Michelle Maros for an empowering
and insightful conversation on living the new year to the fullest.
Doyle’s personal story is extremely powerful. She came from an accomplished
family, a good upbringing and went to a great college; but beneath the
surface was someone who was suffering from bulimia, alcoholism and bad
relationships. In fact, she calls herself a “recovering everything.”
In 2002, she found herself addicted, unwed and pregnant. It was then that
she made the decision to become a mother, and vowed never to have another
drink, cigarette, drug, unhealthy relationship or food binge.
Doyle is the founder of Momastery, an online support community, reaching
millions of people each week. She has been featured on the TODAY Show,
the Talk and NPR and in the New York Times, Glamour Magazine, Parent’s
Magazine and Women’s Day.
“This is a major event in what has been a most successful series
since its launch last year,” said Mindy Shikiar, Vice President
of Oncology, Ambulatory Services and Business Development at Boca Raton
Regional Hospital. “Glennon Doyle has had a wonderful and remarkable
personal transformation. Attendees will find this presentation to be very
meaningful for them from a host of perspectives.”
Sponsored by Elaine J. Wold, the event will be hosted at Lynn University’s
Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center. Ticket prices
are $35 for general admission and $100 for priority seating. VIP Meet
and Greet Sponsorships are also available.
Registration is required and seating is limited. For more information
