Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life™ Wellness Series at Boca Regional

A new program designed to empower women to live life fully is now being offered at Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute. Under the direction of Barb Schmidt, noted meditation teacher and mindfulness activist, the Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life™ Wellness Series will feature Barb and guest speakers discussing a range of topics that can enhance inner peace, happiness and well-being.

“I’m very proud to be a part of this evolution at the Institute where women are not only getting the best medical care, but now can avail themselves of holistic programs that are engaging, uplifting and transformational,” said Barb Schmidt.

Barb, author of the best-selling book, The Practice, is a businesswoman, philanthropist and spiritual teacher with a global following. She is the founder of the non-profit movement, Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life and has spent more than 30 years devoted to spiritual development. For the past 10 years, she has been offering workshops on spiritual practices. She has studied with Thich Nhat Hanh, Deepak Chopra, Scott Peck and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, among many other notable teachers.

Upcoming sessions will cover topics such as pathways to peace, mindfulness, reflection and meditation, and are designed for individuals who seek greater fulfillment, a deeper purpose and overall happiness.

“We are excited to be partnering with Barb Schmidt on a new women’s health project at Boca Regional,” said Mindy Shikiar, Vice President of Oncology, Ambulatory Services and Business Development at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. “This series is yet another representation of the growing holistic and clinical programming at the Institute, such as tai chi, yoga and massage.”

Barb, her husband, Dick Schmidt and the Schmidt Family Foundation are known for the philanthropy they provide in South Florida and have generously supported Boca Raton Regional Hospital with their time and financial contributions.

Sponsored by the Phyllis Sandler Center for Living Well at the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute, the Peaceful Mind Peaceful Life Wellness Series promises to be an enriching and inspirational experience for participants.
