To commemorate Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Boca Regional Hospital’s
Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute will host a free health
fair and lung cancer discussion on Thursday, November 19 from 4:30pm to
6:30pm. Held in conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s (ACS)
annual Great American Smokeout, the event will include an interactive
health fair featuring representatives from the ACS, American Lung Association,
Area Health Education Center, AstraZenteca and Myriad MyPlan. An informative
presentation on lung cancer prevention, detection and treatment options
will be given by the region’s leading lung cancer experts. Current
and former tobacco users and those who are interested in learning more
about lung health are invited to attend this free event. A “Cold
Turkey” sandwich, chips and a beverage will be provided. To learn
